Mini-pupillage at Senate House Chambers

We offer 12 mini-pupillages each year. Mini-pupillages at Senate House Chambers are not assessed, but feedback may be obtained from Members of Chambers to inform any future pupillage applications.

We welcome applications for mini-pupillages from candidates from all backgrounds and all sectors of the community with the desire and capacity to succeed at the Bar. We’re fully committed to promoting and advancing equality and diversity. If you’re disabled and require any adjustments at any stage of the mini-pupillage, please let us know. We’ll endeavour to accommodate your needs.
We design our mini-pupillages to give you an insight into the working life of a self-employed barrister, as well as the opportunity to see how chambers operates. As a mini-pupil you can expect to attend Court and conferences with your assigned tenant and may be asked to carry out research.

To apply you must –
(i) Have completed the first year of your university degree
(ii) Demonstrate a genuine desire to pursue a career at the Bar.
